The Ides of March

   Today is March 15 - the legendary "Ides of March".  Julius Caesar was warned:
   "beware the Ides of March".  Read about the significance of the term "Ides"

   Basically there's nothing particularly fateful about the date, it's just one
   of the three named reference dates in a month.  The remaining dates in the
   months have their names derived by counting back from the reference dates.
